• To help the Minister with the formulation and adoption of policies of the Ministry regarding law and justice and with the coordination and exercise of the management control of the entity.

• To coordinate and follow up the activities of the technical departments of the Ministry and Offices in order to guarantee the fulfillment of their functions and of plan, programs, and projects.

• To coordinate the relationships the Ministry has with all the other public entities in order to accurately execute sectorial plans.

• To direct the preparation of reports related to the development of policies, plans, and programs to be presented by the Minister.

• To permanently evaluate and follow up the execution of international commitments regarding justice and drugs.
