Which are its duties?
The development of the General Secretary functions is determined by the current
regulation about public management - such as the guidelines included in the
National Plan of Development, the Development Plan of the Sector of Justice and the
Interior,the Administrative Development Plan of the Ministry, the Action Plan of
the Department Government, and the current Improvement Plan- and by the mission,
vision, policy fundamentals, and strategies of the Entity.
The structure,
objectives, and functions established by Decree 4530 of 2008 that implements the
Manual of Functions and Requirements. This entire legal frame is materialized at
the General Secretary where its respective principles and values are applied,
regulated, and determined in order to fulfill its objectives: Ethics in service
implies loyalty, trust, and fidelity towards the Ministry, its mission and
purposes. The result has been the support to missionary processes and to the
development of the mission and objectives of the Institution, making the best
effort in order to achieve a clear management oriented to service within a
responsible and ethic performance frame.
